Gellibrand River Hotel

Five old mates riding the Old Beechy Trail on a cool autumn day headed to the hotel for lunch.
I had previously rung to see if it would be open.
We were late, so l rang from several kms out and was told that was ok.
Although we were the only lunchtime patrons we were well looked after.
The chips were great, but the steak sandwiches were brilliant. Prices were very affordable.
The wood heater had been put on especially for us and the beer was was nice and cold.
My third time of riding the trail and lunching at the Gellibrand Hotel.
An excellent day. Ring ahead like l did for a wonderful experience in this historic hotel.
