Want to love this place but is very hit and miss unfortunately. Fresh fruit only seems to last a few days at most. But and eat same day I recommend. Well priced though which is a drawcard

Hit and miss....I only go buy what I plan to eat that day and can get some real bargains. You get what you pay for. With Saturday markets at Carseldine now, I rarely go to George's....

Shopped here the other day and oh my the quality is terrible my broccoli lasted 2 days before I had to throw it. I bought a whole watermelon and when I cut it open it was in edible . I didn't buy the cheap stuff outside in the sun either. Very disappointed .

I once frequented Georges regularly but found over time a lot of the produce I was purchasing was not fresh or only lasted a day or 2 before it was just not nice enough to eat. I have been back every so often to check if the quality has picked up because I like to support local business as I myself am a small business owner but unfortunately every time I am left very disappointed. The service also seems to have slipped dramatically, back when the quality of service and produce were great I was always offered help with getting the boxes to my car and served with a smile however the last time I went in I was 8 months pregnant with a toddler in tow and not once did a staff member even acknowledge me let alone offer assistance. Very disappointed in what a once fantastic store has become
