The food is good at Ginger Garlic. Just don't be surprised when your talked into over ordering by staff explaining it couldn't possibly be enough for your dining table.
Sure this is fine until you find out you can't take your meals home if you can't eat them. Although they offer takeaway all the same. Dissapointing and quite rude staff don't add to the ambience. But they do serve great food if your up for a challenge.
It's good but not worth the tension for us or the rip off by the pushy waiter. We won't be returning...
This review is entirely accurate.
My experience was identical to andrerouge's.
When I declined the courses the management almost forced on me, they tried further pressure by saying, " If you wish to order more later, then you will have to wait in the queue before being served."
I swore I would never return - & I haven't !! Imagine the WASTE of uneaten food in their dumpsters out the back.
We were encouraged to order an additional dish, and then told at the end of the meal there are no boxes provided to take away. They do take-away service so that seemed like a rip off to suggest additional dishes knowing the patrons cannot take excess home. We would not have ordered that additional dish if we had known that.
Spicing was subtle but good. They made it way too mild for all but the most timid taste buds. Presentation was mediocre. The serving dishes have seen way too much wear and tear.
The rice dish was the best with a complex set of flavors. Lamb was greasy. Chicken dish was nicely done. Nan was brought but they asked us to remove it from the basket, thus filling our plates. That seemed rude. The Nan was a bit greasy and the garlic was non-existent.
I do not plan to go back as there are alternatives nearby to explore.

Ginger Garlic is a local institution well known all over the country for their fine cuisine. Not like many indian restaurants, Ginger garlic blends their flavoursome spices to create mouth watering dishes of the highest quality. I highly recommend allowing Ashok and Ritu to create an order for your table so you can share the food and get the most out of the visit. i have yet to find anything too hot on their menu. If you want heat, ask, and they will bring you a small bowl you can add yourself. I recommend the lamb shank, the meat drips off the bone and is a table favourite
Superb food every time I have visited. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and it's a real pleasure sitting out on the terrace on a mild evening eating Mongolian lamb that falls off the bone with no effort at all. The inside seating area is deceptive as it's rather small and furnished in a slightly old fashioned way but that is soon forgotten by the relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
Great food, however the venue is small and the floorspace cramped, and you will leave smelling like the restaurant. If you're ordering takeaway, don't arrive early unless you want to stand outside to wait - there's no where to wait inside and you'll feel like you're inconveniencing the diners.
