Firstly I wish to state I'm a pensioner and due to medication I am very forgetful and due to this I automate my life, after being a customer of theirs for over 10 years and paying ontime by hurling payments from Centrelink to them automatically each time it was due one day I noticed my payments were being hurled back to me and refused, I rang to ask why and was told that I'm not allowed to pay them and that they have to have a direct debit arrangement in place for my insurances. I find this ridiculous as I'm a good payer and always paid on time and without me having to do anything, since having been forced into a direct debit Im constantly falling behind with payments as I have to always remember when their going to take hte money and what pay day of mine it lines up with etc. with Australia's agin population this will be an ever increasing issue and something needs to be done about this, personally I now hate the G.I.O and as soon as I can find another insurer who ...read more
I like this insurer as their fees are really quite reasonable. they give a No Claim Bonus to Learner drivers and they have a protected for life maximum no claim bonus. I have made a few claims and they did put a punitive excess on my policy without letting me know why. I figured it out for myself. That's the only complaint that I would have. The staff at this branch are professional yet friendly and go out of their way to satisfy your insurance needs. I whole heartedly recommend them to you.
