Giovanna Restaurant

Giovanna's, affectionally known as Gio's, is well loved by the local residents of Kingsford. They also have a function room out the back, and the restaurant is BYO.
Very family friendly, great for grabbing a bunch of friends and sharing a few pizzas or pasta dishes.
They are also cheaper (and in my opinion, better) than Mamma's Italian, which is directly across the road. Definitely check them out if you haven't already and live in the area.
The service is also extremely kind and friendly, the same family have been working there since I've frequented Gio's!

fresh home style cooking with authentic tomato bases. Can't go wrong with Gio's be it a takeaway pizza or dinner with friends- a local love affair, and for good reason.

I had dinner at this restaurant a few weeks ago, I tried their pasta and pizza which were both really nice. The staff were also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Italian cuisine. I will be back to try other things on their menu!

Giovanna is a wonderful place to bring the whole family and relax to great food. We have had birthdays there and celebrate special occassions. It's a little Italy in Kingsford. HJ

It is a pity that the maximum you can give this place is five stars - they deserve at least seven. The servings are generous, the staff are perfect, and there is a huge range of dishes to choose from. It is great value for money and as a parent with two fussy eaters I find it is always a popular choice when it comes to eating out. I think one reviewer calling it a "great family pizza restaurant" doesn't do it justice. It is simply the best Italian in the east.
