I am currently managing a home built by Glenvill (I am not the owner nor did I build it) in regional Victoria. Everything about the process has been appalling; from the handover (they didn't want to send keys to us), to the state of the property was in at handover (live electric wires hanging out of the side wall in the weather), to the dirty floors and surfaces that were not cleaned. The list of defects after handover is large including; leaking kitchen taps, improperly functioning garage doors, solar panels not unwrapped and solar hot water service not wired up, inoperable deadlock, flaking paint and cracked roof tiles. Glenvill do not seem to care about any of this and months later items are not fixed. Staff at head office are rude and you can't get past the receptionist. I am resorting to this terrible review to warn others about how poorly Glenvill treat clients and in the hope you won't be put through the same fiasco we have. Seriously, build with anyone else but Glenvill. If ...read more

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING EXPERIENCE
-I've built a number of houses and decided to go with Glenvill on this one. As with all builders you have a few dramas but from a so called quality builder-- Glenvill-- I had problems from day one they try to shortcut and don't abide by the building code .. there trades man work for peanuts and the quality reflects on this

Think Twice before you commit with Glenvill as we have a bad experience with Glenvill during and after the our house construction . Though Glenvill was strongly recommended by our broker whom mentioned that they deliver Good Workmanship and Comply to standard. Glevill fail to deliver.
1) Found issue with Timber Frame and Wooden bracing where fastener did not secure both the wood frame and the bracing( Many Location) and I have taken pictures for proof. Building Inspector ( ABS) And Builder completed the Building Inspection in a hastily manner and mentioned the issue rectified without proof.
2) There are work that does not match the House construction drawing though Glenvill mentioned all work will comply to drawing. Shower room wall tiles ...read more
We had great experience with Glenvill Homes. We decided to demolish our old house and build new double storey home on the same block. We found Glenvill through their display home in Plenty, Glen Vista, and rang them up in Caulfield (Head Office) and described them our situation, that we want to demolish and then build and they took over the whole project for us. They organised the demolish company, temporary fencing, everything, we literaly sat back and relaxed while the team at Glenvill took over everything. If there were any changes to original contract, they notified us via email and regular mail, communication was always honest and prompt. We built this home 2 years ago. The contract stated the house will be finished within 12 months, but in fact it was finished before its due date which made us very happy. After final inspection and hand over, we had 2 issues: popping flooring in one bedroom and one side of the gutter couldn't cope with heavy ...read more
Our experience with Glenvill homes was to say the least very disappointing, their customer service was average during construction, then once final payment was received it stopped completely, our home was very basic and yet the overall 'finishing' is below an average standard. Over six months has past and we have tasks payed for and not completed. Phone calls not returned and ignored.
I would not recommend this company.
As the New General Manager of housing I am very disappointed to hear your experience was not up to your expectation. My name is Cameron George and I would encourage you to contact me directly at [email protected] I would like to resolve your concerns personally
