Close your eyes and imagine. Colours that are indescribable and untouchable in your home country. The brilliant shades of turquoise on a topi's hind leg. The liquid amber pupils of a young male lion. Black-as-coal skin on the Masai warriors. Gun metal grey clouds as a brewing African storm dances over head.

These are colours that were only truly absorbed and appreciated when I was on horseback riding through knee-high honey coloured grass. The blades tickling my horses stomach. The gentle breeze cooling down my perspiring face as the rhythmic steps of my horse pulsate underneath me.

This was my first globetrotting experience. Kenya, June 2005. This was a horse riding holiday that transformed me forever and changed my view of travelling indefinitely.

That one horse riding holiday became the catalyst for a year of travelling through Chile, Argentina, Kenya and Botswana. I jumped from saddle to saddle, filling an unquenchable thirst to discover foreign countries and cultures off the back of a horse where the pace is slower and the experience richer.

Since returning to Australia it was a natural progression for me to specialise in horse riding holidays in Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Chile and Argentina. Ive been fortunate to spend a lot of time discovering various horse riding safaris in Africa and South America and leading groups of up to ten riders throughout these countries. So, I know what makes these rides unforgettable. I'm constantly researching new countries and rides to make sure that I have the best selection of horse riding holidays and horse riding safaris on offer.
