I actually love this place so much that I cannot even describe it well enough. Crispy rice 'burgers' filled with you choice of a filling - I went the cheeseburger option and it tasted just like that with an awesome sauce, like a big mac. My friends got the chicken one (they all thought the sauce is a bit tangy) and you can also get salmon. We got fries as well that are thin, shoestring like with a nice seating. The fried chicken is another winner - like the best fried chicken i've ever eaten. I would eat this regularly if I could.
Interesting burger place which has a McDonalds/fast food joint feel to it.
I had the kingfish sweet mustard burger. I liked how they fried this rice pattie to make it a burger bun. I like how Crispy it is. While I enjoy this, the kingfish piece was slipping all the way to the back of the burger. I guess that's because it's cut like a big piece of sashimi
The fries were nice with the mayo dipping sauce but even the sauce cost 90 cents
That's my main issue with this place,it's expensive for what you get. But then again everything new that pops up in Sydney is expensive......
Part burger, part sushi in a fast food set up. When I asked for a recommendation, the friendly lady at the counter suggested that the cheeseburger or miso salmon were their bestsellers. I chose the latter with a side of shoestring fries with umami salt. The sushi/burger is on the small side, but tasty overall. The regular fries are larger than expected but I finish every last piece. The meal was enjoyable; I'd come back.
Another burger joint but this one with a twist at The Star. Read many a thing about this place and really wanted to try as enjoy the concept of a rice burger. I wasn't disappointed! The service is very friendly. Order and pay at the counter. They give you a buzzer but you don't really collect your food as much as they bring it your table! This place was heaving with people before we arrived and the people still kept pouring in so have to be patient when packed. Lucky we found a spare table.
We had the Gojima Stack, Gojima Cheeseburger, Fries With Japanese Mayo, and Green Tea Thickshake. The burgers were devishly bad for you! There was a fried bun of rice covered in a nori sheet with your choice of filling. In this case the stack had a cheeseburger patty and crispy katsu mushroom and salad. Really ...read more
