Loved this little airport, its small but has everything you need. Everything’s so easy to find. Bathrooms are clean and easy to locate. There is a variety of food options and a few basics shops and a bar. Plenty of seating and I just found the experience of travelling through there very stress free.
This airport is on point. It is small - one level only, one security check only, one exit gate only e.t.c. It is very well resourced for the size, amply pick up and drop off bays for cars and a good range of shops for browsing. It is a very convenient location for visiting the Gold Coast or even Bryon Bay. Reduces drive time by 1 hr (when compared with flying in/out of Brisbane Airport).
What a great airport, its small and didnt expect much of it in terms of the size, however there is a variety of food options, lots of seatings a available. We were here not long ago and found the airport easy to move around, a parent room with a microwave which was positive as when I enquired with one of the food retailers, they were advised they couldnt use their microwave to heat any food apart from their own. Like most airports, the prices of everything are inflated much more which is always annoying. Plenty of high chair floating around which is another positive factor. Great up close view of the aero planes which my little one really enjoyed watching.
Great little airport at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, crazy to think you can actually fly international from here now. There's plenty of parking, short term & long term, plus a drop-off/pick-up area to avoid parking fees all together. A few car rental companies have booths here or there's plenty of public transport- taxis & buses within walking distance. Once you're through the check-in areas, there's some great little cafe's, a bar, fast food outlets, and shopping. Including the ever popular Smiggle.
