Following my surgery a week ago I was transfered to Ward C2 West and spent a week there. I have to say that from the surgeons who performed a very successful Colorectal Surgery to the Nurses who looked after me in this ward, the standard of care is just incredible. I have never met such wonderful Human Being, Caring, Devoted, Super efficient, Concerned.
The Surgeons visited me nearly every day to find out how I was doing, I was very touched and really felt in the best hands. The nurses were so dedicated, it was breath taking.
They all deserve a Medal for their dedication, Real Angels. Merci du fond du Coeur to all of you.
Love this hospital. The staff from the doctors through to nurses, admin.staff ,cleaners and orderlies is amazing.I have had to have a few visits this year with my granddaughter.Today she was very unwell and was treated so well by all nurses ,the Doctor Dave and nurse practitioner Loahnna. They did everything to make sure it was just a virus she had testing urine ,blood etc.I left feeling confident she was going to be alright. Its the best hospital I have been too mainly because of the very caring staff where nothing is too much for them even as very busy as they are. They all go above and beyond and you feel it isn't just a job they really want to be there to help people.
Just had my first & last experience at this hospital, my daughter & i just left the emergency department after waiting 3 hours. This hospital was far from busy, there were 4 adults waiting.. On arrival we gave a brief discription of symptoms & told to go to the next window to give details & then were told to sit & wait.
During the 3 hours waiting, the triaged nurse did not check any vitals of my 18 year old daughter.
After 2 hours passed, & we watched the 4 adults get treated, i went back to ask how long roughly till the doctor could see my daughter & she told me there's one in front of you & then they will call out your daughters name from over there as she nudged her head towards the childrens emergency unit. (for children under 16 years of age) Another hour goes by, nobody checks or calls my daughter. Then a lady came in with her child yelling help & she goes straight in to see a doctor. I ...read more
Both visits to GCU hospital have been amazing. First one 18 months ago for our 3yr old daughter at the time to have the ears, nose and throat op and the most resent 13 days ago having our 2nd child 3 werks early. All the staff were fantastic in both maternity and the intensive care unit. Way better than our 'unforgettable' experience of Tweed hospital with our 1st born.
