Golden Chop Sticks Chinese Restaurant

I really like a good take-away Chinese restaurant, especially one that is within walking distance of my house unfortunately this isn't it. I've been here a couple of times, and the first time the food wasn't all that bad, but this time I thought it could have been done a lot better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't cooked badly or anything, it just really didn't do all that much for me. Probably my biggest gripe was that I ordered some beef skewers, so they put them in a paper bag with some satay sauce. Problem was that the satay sauce wasn't in a container so it just pooled at the bottom of the bag, which broke on my way home, covering me with sauce. The prices weren't all that bad, but they only accept cash no credit card. I'm probably going to have to stick with the restaurants down in Preston if I want Chinese.

I recently tried this place after my regular chinese takeaway place was temporarily closed, and I'm sad to say it was not good. The vegetables did not taste fresh, the chicken and sweet corn soup was fatty and the spring rolls were slightly burnt. I will not be returning here.

Local favorite that has been around a long time. Has all the tradtional chinese dishes in a pleasant & friendly atmosphere. Recommended for a quiet early dinner.
