Good Luck Chinese Restaurant
The signature dish at Good Luck, is the Peking Duck, which also seems to double as the mascot of this restaurant. Other mains include the yellow croaker fish in chilli sauce and gong bao prawns with dried red chilli. Complement the duck with braised eggplant, pork and chive dumplings, sizzling liver and a spring onion pancake. If you have a six or more people, try a steamboat for $48. Try the toffee apple pieces for dessert.

Good Luck Restaurant is a very old school restaurant. From the outside, you can hardly see anything as all the doors and windows are covered by posters to take away the natural lights which can be quite blinding during sunset times.
The place is medium size and has a yellow-ish ambiance. Most of the tables, big and small, are round tables with an exception of a few squares.
The popular dish at this place is the peking duck which you need to pre-order when making a reservation. As we were one of the first parties to arrive for ...read more
This looks like one of the dingy old Chinese restaurants one would find in a country town, but it is one of the better places to get your Peking Duck fix. It is not a great place for a spur-of-the moment, unplanned meal because the Peking ducks have to be ordered in advanced, but the planning ahead is utterly worth it.
Traditionally, only the skin and a thin layer of the duck meat is served for Peking Duck, but at Good Luck Restaurant, the motto seems to be "eat ALL the ...read more
If you feel like eating Peking Duck this is the place to go to! Instead of the first course being just duck skin they use the whole duck and your second duck course will just be duck soup instead of the usual San Chow Bau or Duck fried rice. The whole duck will easily create 30 Peking Duck rolls whereas the usual 12.
You will need call the restaurant to give at least 5 hours notice if you are going to eat the Peking Duck. I guess that's why it taste so fresh.
This place looks like nothing from the outside, but inside the food speaks for itself. The duck, already mentioned here, is fabulous and the menu offers some other unique and very tasty options from the usual Chinese fare. The prawns with chilli and dry fried noodles were great. Prices are more than reasonable and the service is good. Our host was very attentive and keen for us to enjoy our meal. We will be back soon.
Ever been out to a Chinese restaurant for dinner with friends and you order Peking Duck- but you only get one piece and you leave dinner craving for more? This place is FOR YOU! Peking Duck is truely their specialty. Pretty much every table had at least 1 duck for dinner (which is a requirement to book 1 day in advance). If you were wondering we had 3... for 9 people- that's pretty much all you can eat peking duck! The pancake which wraps the peking duck is freshly made and very fresh and doughy soft. Now back to the duck- it was succluent, juicy, flavoursome and sliced to perfection! I would highly recommend this place for groups of friends looking for a peking duck fix. So we pretty much just ate Peking duck and a really refreshing celery dish (to help clear the oily feeling).
The meal concluded with complimentary Duck Soup The salty flavours of the duck meat harmonised with the sweetness of chinese cabbage - which was extremely hearty yet cleansing.
