Goomburra Valley Campground
The Goomburra Valley Campground is situated on the banks of the Dalrymple Creek and is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation. Whether you have a tent, trailer, caravan or motor home, there is a camp spot for you, as the campground has plenty of flat grassed areas with a fireplace under plenty of shade. There is also a 14 bed bunkhouse for the not so adventurous. Warm summer days for swimming in the creek, or rug up beside the fire in winter. The Goomburra Valley Campground is perfect for groups and clubs with large undercover areas for cooking or meetings, there is even a camp kitchen. Well behaved pets are welcome with prior notification. (Bond applies).

Nice spot to camp, unfortunately the owners were not welcoming, we do a lot of travelling with our van and will give Goomburra Valley Camp Ground a big miss!!
We have gone through the records "Ben" and can't find you, are you sure it was Goomburra Valley Campground that you stayed at and not one of the other four campgrounds up here. We usually go out of our way to make everyone feel welcome. Maybe after we have to speak to people about doing something wrong that they may feel different.

Management were rude and disrespectful we were not made to feel welcome. We were threatened to be kicked out our fire extinguished and we could end up in the watch house. All this for sitting around a campfire having a few laughs with friends.
This camp ground would be great for older campers that are happy to be in bed by 10pm
It is a great area of the world just a pity the fun police are out in full force there.

I thought I would share my experience camping at Goomburra Valley Camping Ground (GVCG).
The first thing you notice before you even enter the camp ground is a sign on the front fence that reads This is NOT Gordon Country. Gordon Country is the camping ground which neighbours GVCG. The next thing you notice after you drive in and pay your money is the list of rules you are given. The management are ...read more

Management are the rudest, disrespectful, foul mouthed people I have ever come across. To be treated the way they treated my partner and myself as perspective campers was unacceptable mind you we were at the property for probably 5 minutes. There was a few words spoken to us but the worst was being yelled at from across a field (mind you there was kids in the camp grounds) for a simple misunderstanding as not seeing a sign, I will NEVER go back and I will tell everybody I possibly know my experience.
Exactly, there were children in the park and that's precisely why we don't allow visitors to drive through. The sign says STOP REGISTERD CAMPERS ONLY PAST THIS POINT. VISITORS AND INSPECTIONS PLEASE PARK HERE The sign is as big as the back of a bus, so I dont understand how people dont see it, there is also a sign at the office to stop, there is a sign that states the speed limit is 5 km/hr
And they wonder why we get cross with them when they ignore the signs and drive in way too fast., there is no abuse, they are told that if they can't read the signs to leave because they are not the sort of people we want camping with us.
Looks like things haven't changed here. Terrible, rude management. Thought they may have woken up by now but apparently not.

We love the campground! Great amenities, lots of room to set up.The kids can ride their bikes around, swim and play in the creek, they have a ball and don't want to go home!
It's our fourth time camping there and have never found Deb or Andy to be anything but helpful and friendly (contrary to the post below - it makes me wonder?) We like the idea of camping somewhere where you know that hooligans won't be tolerated and that the kids saftey comes first! We will definitly be returning.
