Gosnells Hotel
Gosnells Hotel is set inside the oldest public building in Gosnells and still retains a cosy, heritage feel to it. The venue boasts BBQ facilities, two large outdoor areas, a bistro and a sports bar where you can sit back and watch all the latest games and events. There's also a play area for the little ones, featuring an old tram redone as a kids club.
I probably could have said so much more about this place, if it wasn’t for the fact that I ended up walking into the sports bar as opposed to the much better bar around the back. Not surprisingly, you can’t get there from the sports bar, which basically really annoyed me, and that bar was pretty tacky. However, the restaurant, and the beer garden, oh and the building itself, look rather cool. It’s a shame that my main experience was that bar.
I had the roast of the day (pork belly), which was quite nice, and the rest of the table seemed to enjoy their food, but the service left a lot to be desired. We had barely been seated when a staff member demanded we place our orders quickly, because his chefs had nothing to do. Despite having nothing to do except fulfil our orders, they still managed to miss delivering some people's meals, or parts of them. Even when we moved empty plates and glasses to the side of the table, the waitstaff would interrupt our conversation to ask if we wanted them taken away.
