Gourmet Espresso Pacific Fair

I thought I would try this cafe. As a local I know what gc is capable of. My eggs benedict was foul. Ham was cold sauce was cold and toast was not cooked. My lime thickshake was ok. Bad service also.

The worst service of any business I have experienced. So bad I thought they must be part of a reality show. The staff ought me an apple muffin and said my ordered blueberry wasn't available. I advised I had seen it in the window and I was told that can't be as they don't have any. I asked the staff to have another look and a few minutes later someone else bought the blueberry out. A few other things happened but I am sure with other feedback people get the picture. Avoid until this business has new management.

The service at this cafe is abysmal and they make coffee to match. After a 15 minute wait, the delivery was a good indication - the coffee was spilt all down the cup and into the saucer. They put it down and said I'll get you a new serviette. Which they returned with and placed on the table for me to deal with the mess! When I told the staff that the coffee tasted burnt and was I could not drink it, the staff nodded and said ok. If we had not already paid for our breakfast and coffee I would definitely not have paid for the coffee. This is a place I will never return to.

As a local in the area I thought I would try this place a few more tries after a bad experience a year ago. What a mistake that was!



Last week we went for breakfast. It was very quiet yet our food took quite a while to come out. Two out of my three pancakes were so burnt you couldn't eat even eat them. I cann't say how upset & humiliated I was with my dining experience at Gourmet Espresso at Pacific Fair. I sent my soggy salad back to the kitchen and witnessed the head chef cutting a new salad on the kitchen floor and making fun of me with other staff. The head chef saw how upset I was and just laughed at me. The management ignoored my ph calls until Centre Management made them contact me. All I wanted was a written apology from the chef, which I never received. I don't know how workplace health & safety did not shut the place down! I would never go to Gourmet Espresso again.
