Gourmet Larder

The staff are very different here and while some are friendly that does not apply to every one. But put that aside. I ordered my usual that I order EVERYWHERE, a hot coffee. It was anything but and I could not drink any more after 2 sips so I put it aside. A male staffer said it would not be on my bill but the female who served us in the beginning put it on and I paid just to get out . Coffee aside, I ate the very best bacon, lettuce, tomato and egg toastie in the entire region. A very good size and so nice. Shame that good even decent coffee was not also available for my tastes buds. But that toastie had NO equal amongst every venue I tested. Price was reasonable.

A very busy cafe. There are 2 separate Larders side by side so if the bigger and more obvious one (with seats out the front) is full, try the one next to it, the less obvious one- which we found not as busy and managed to get seats. Service depends on the staff. One was cheerful and another not so friendly. Food was good, very nice cappuccino and latte.
