Gourmet Pizza Kitchen
Gourmet Pizza Kitchen's aim is to provide diners with a memorable experience by exceeding their expectations and this Erina restaurant doesn't disappoint.
The atmopsphere is warm and friendly and the staff knowledgeable and efficient.
Truly child friendly, there's a large playground that can be easily viewed from the outside tables and kids are given play dough to mould which the staff will then cook for them.
Pizza's are themed on around the world destinations as far flung as Jakarta and Saigon and are cooked in wood fire ovens. They are fun and inventive and the menu also features dessert 'pizetta's' made on a sweet base.
An informal, yet quality dining experience. ...read more

I went with my partner for a quick pizza after a movie. I have to say it was a pretty terrible experience. The base was pre-made and I suspect defrosted that evening. While the topping was ok, the chicken was over cooked and chewy. A frozen pizza from the supermarket would have been better and not cost us $24. Service was less than average too. It took us a while to catch someone's eye to get a table, even though it wasn't a peak service time. The tablewasn't set properly and we had to find our own forks on another table. I won't be back.
I ordered take away and was advised it would be 35 minutes, 55 minutes later (after asking where are my pizzas) I was given two luke warm pizzas. When I advised I had waited 55 minutes I was told (very rudely) they were very busy!!!!!
The pizzas would have been ready in 35 minutes however with no organisation skills back or front of house I had two cold pizzas when I arrived home (a 5 minute drive)
Would NOT recommend until a management change.
We had hot chocolates for $3.50 each and these mozzarella sticks for like $8.something.
The froth on the hot choc was great but below it...it was below average. The hto chocolate was like water and sugar with cocoa powder.
The mozzarella sticks were more like dough sticks with cheap cheese.
The bread was like dough, it was plain and weird...it was like self-raising flour and water, lightly mirowaved and then the mozzarella was like melted plastic but with a cheap and cheesy texture.
Horrible pizza horrible customer service:
Pizza came out not hot, so I asked staff to put back into oven for another 5mins. Husband decided his was not hot enough too (Executive Chef), so I took his back up to the staff and asked them to put them both back in for 5 mins (got a grumble out of him). They ended up giving us new "not hot" pizzas again. We told the staff we wanted them cooked more not new ones, and sent those back too to get cooked more. They told us we should have asked for them to be well-done "how about serving the pizza's HOT". Anyway when we went to pay I told them it was the worse pizza I've ever had and they continued to argue with me. PS - beer wasn't cold either.
Maybe we expect too much coming from a food/ customer service background. If they simply listened to what was being asked "cooked for an extra 5 mins" it wouldn't have been an issue. So to summarise - staff don't listen and don't know how to handle complaints.
