AVOID AT ALL COSTS. After initially calling the venue 3 months prior to my event it took 6 weeks for them to get back to me to confirm details and actually make the booking. I was not happy and looked for elsewhere but it was too late as other venues were already booked by that time. After having a discussion with them about their lack of communication I proceeded but I did not feel confident. I should have trusted my gut instinct. After my event their service, or lack thereof, has left me gutted. I paid the drinks bill whilst we were saying goodbye and organising taxis to leave the venue. I didn’t think I needed to go over the bill so carefully and I paid it in good faith not expecting to find around $500 of drinks that were not mine on the bill. To top it off the worst part was I was $14 off my minimum spend and not once did they mention it to me, so I was then slapped with the $350 room hire fee. It goes to show the integrity of the staff and management that they ...read more
We returned. Even though it was busy the staff were on the ball and we did not have to wait long to order food and drinks and once ordered, our food did not take long to come at all. All the entrees were delicious. We shared a 300g rump for main and it was cooked just as we requested. We were too full for dessert but the "do it yourself donuts" looked excellent. Only negative is the noise levels. The chatter / music from the bar invade the dining space which can make conversation difficult. However, if you come prepared for this, no problems.
Great atmosphere and decor. We worked our way through most of the entree menu and they were mostly delicious although I'd give the croquettes and prawns a miss as they were a bit disappointing. Note that if you get the charcuterie plate it also comes with the bread and olives (this is not indicated on the menu so you could unwittingly end up with double if you order the bread and the charcuterie plate as we did!) I would return to try some main courses.
Mixed feelings about this place. I think because I heard good things from other people so my expectations were to be wowed especially by their mini burgers. Came here with girlfriends for lunch and after each dish we were left thinking 'aww cute, but.. is that all (referring to flavor and size)?' when they say mini, it sure is mini! Maybe we were just really hungry, but it seemed a little 'too mini' for the price you pay I say.
The Establishment itself is nice though. I would give this place another try, but probably for dinner next time, just to compare.
