I trained at Gracie Academy when it was in Gordon at VT1 but due to work I had to move. I trained some Karate and then at a Machado Academy in the West, but as soon as I moved back to the north shore I got straight back into BJJ at this Academy and I brought my kids to their program to. They love it as much as I do!
What makes this Self Defense Academy different? It's friendly, fun and the coaches are super passionate about BJJ. There are competitors, couples and hobbyists. Everybody feels welcome and there is no ego in the academy.
Especially after trying a few different Martial Arts Academies it put it into perspective how awesome this one truly is. Professor Liam is the best martial arts instructor I've ever met, BY FAR. His jokes and film references however may not make sense to you at first, but it's part of the charm.
