Loving the pizzas here. Just gourmet and full of flavour. This time we did order something else as well as pizza just to make it a bit different, however the other dishes like the meat skewers, calamri just dont make it compared to the pizzas as thats what Gradi is known for. So if ever here, just order pizza only. Sharing is the best way as eating a whole pizza on your own can be tough, you rather have mutiple flavours and slices going around to share. Again, was not disappointed as every bite and slice was worth it.
Located in the Crown, this restaurants offers the true taste of Italian food!
The pizzas are thin and loaded with healthy & fresh ingredients.
The wine selection is vast.
The bruschetta is simply delicious.
Service is fantastic - staff are very attentive. My water glass was never empty. Despite being busy, the staff still gave us exceptional service.
The authenticity of the Italian food also translates into the menu - it was hard to read as the ingredients of pizzas / pastas had words that were not English. So that was a bit confusing.
Will definitely return! Loved my experience.
Visited Gradi on a Friday night with a couple of friends. Staff was quite attentive when required and setting was nice. Known as one of the best Margarita pizzas, of course we ordered that.
Food came out at a reasonable time. The pizza itself was simple and traditional. Ordered some side breads with tomato. The Margarita was good but did not taste anything more than other average gourmet pizza places. Although having said this, food was more on the expensive end of pizzas but a good place to catch up with a few friends.
Gradi was pumping on the weekend so thought it would be good place for some lunch. We sat outside on the deck which is ok except for the freeway that runs over the top but the music is a good distraction. Service was efficient at first but the meals were disappointing. I had the carbonara pasta which was very bland. I couldn't taste any bacon or flavour at all. My dining companion had the fried seafood - he left half the plate simply as it was over cooked (his words, most items were way too crunchy to eat). We were keen to pay and leave but our waiter disappeared so eventually found someone to get us our bill. This is certainly a popular place and perhaps their pizza's are the real hero - we wish we'd tried them. But these two dishes do no favours for the restaurant. Difficult to recommend based on this experience.
