The Grande Vue Private Hotel offers heritage-style accommodation in Battery Point, Hobart. Battery Point is a five-minute walk from Hobart’s central business district, Salamanca Place and the waterfront. The Grand Vue Private Hotel is a Queen Anne-style mansion, built in 1906 as a family home. The property has been extended and refurbished to restore many of the architectural features of the house, including stained glass windows, internal stairs, and ornate fireplaces. You can choose from individually-designed studio rooms, each with king- or queen-size beds, marble bathrooms and kitchenettes. The Turret Room has been decorated in grand Edwardian style. Here you can sleep in a French antique bed, warm yourself by the original fireplace and melt into the oval soaker/spa bath in your marble bathroom. The Water View Spa Room has views of the Derwent River and a double corner spa and shower in the bathroom, and there are also Executive and Queen Water View rooms. All rooms feature flat panel televisions, DVD players and free broadband internet access.
