Grandma's Little Bakery is exactly how it sounds. A quaint place that serves wholesome and extremely tasty home cooked food and fresh bread. Their hummus with mushrooms is exquisite and they do a takeout lunch box which is a combination of all the daily salads from the chef. A really lovely place with lovely food that makes you feel at home. I can't wait to try their chicken pie.
We tried the beef shakshuka and the unique ricotta pancakes. The shakshuka was interesting, but it was a tasty dish and the ricotta pancakes were nice too. The place is really cute and hi-tech, however, it does get very loud, making it a not-so-romantic breakfast joint.
Dig the interior decor! We shared the bolognaise shakshuka and their scones. Their shakshuka was not that great, quite dry and bland. However their scones were great, probably could have given us more cream and jam considering how big the scones were. Overall it was good, would love to get some of their homegrown product at their farm the next visit.
Go here immediately and order their scones and shakshuka, enjoy it whilst sipping on tea and watching the world go by. This place is as quaint and cosy as its name with some high-tech injections. You order off iPads and the colour palette is very modern. The food all has a home-cooked feel and is just lovely. I recommend this place to anyone staying with me, luckily it is just up the road!
