Steer clear of this business at all cost unless you want to regret it later.
Numerous problems, non-existent warranty/after care. Zero responsibility, zero time management, just plain arrogant and ignorant.
I wish I've seen this review sooner. I'm now encountering the same issues you mentioned.
I had a really positive experience with Grant.
I ordered a DIY install kit (aluminium framed sliding gate). It was well made and the install kit had everything I needed to finish the gate.
Grant responded promptly to question via email and telephone (I had never installed a sliding gate before) and has very useful install instructions on his website.
He asked all the right questions to enable him to fabricate the gate with the correct rake -- something that I hadn't thought of.
The controller he supplied practically programs itself!
Overall I was really happy with the product and the service.
Do not bother wasting your time with these people. The prices for gate fabrication on the website are a rough guide indeed and actual prices after contacting them are at least 50% more than a gate the next size up, with no customization.
They are very not helpful if contacted by phone and will not provide any more information on their products other than the website. They say they are busy until 2015 and doesn't know how much longer they will be busy for. Very poor business practice and customer service. The website should be removed or at least say their services are SUSPENDED until further notice.
Guess we won't know if their products are any good for at least 12 months since they are already making too much money and doesn't want your money or business. Don't waste their or your time. Go elsewhere.
