Great Eastern Groceries Centre

My favorite Asian Supermarket in the city. The selection is great and the prices are lower than most places. It's very small and cramped and usually crowded, but if you have some time to spend, it's a cool place to look around.

Many days ago I bought some foods at this market (Great Eastern Groceries Centre (Tang)). After, I got home and opened the package; I found out the food was spoiled. Then I came back to ask them for refunds. They refused to refund the money to me because the package was opened. They said I should check before I paid. I'd posted some of the comments on Yelp and their facebook page but they deleted it. Please be careful when you buy foods at this supermarket. I have their VIP card but that was the last time I went there.

If you live in the city, than this Asian grocery store has absoultely everything you need to cook up an Asian feast! This place is cheap and has food that will make you want to stay in and prepare a great dish or two at home. I often come here after work when in need of a thing or two for convenience more than anything else, as its not my local Asian grocery store and having to carry a handful of plastic bags just isnt ideal. I find that the products are cheap, but not for all items. I guess in comparison to my local Asian grocery stores, the prices are bit more competitive. Vegetarian Dumplings would set you back for $3.50 for a pack of 50. Vegie Buns $3.50 for a pack of 12 and egg noodles about $1-5'0 of course there are different sizes. When comparing to the likes of the major supermarkets which stock some of these products, of course their prices are a premium and youre much better off at one of these stores. great service from a small store! love the shop lady too

I love this place! I buy all my groceries and asian snacks from here. I find them the cheapest here. And the checkouts are fast too! It's up and go with them. It gets pretty crowded in there though. But I love how they're open from about 10am-10pm and it's still bustling with people!
