Great Southern Hotel

Absolute rip off. This has to be the worst pub I've ever been to. Sure they go for a more fine dining sort of thing but the price and what u get for it is OUTRAGEOUS! The pulled lamb was a decent portion however my main gripe is the duck breast and the salad. Their tiny even for a child! Duck breast was the size of my fist and the salad was so small it looked like leftovers. The food was pretty average overall and had no vibe to it. Not terrible food but what u pay for I expect better quality. Drinks were also expensive with tiny glasses! Don't come here ever.

They had problems cooking even cooking a simple rissole plated up raw in the centre for our child. Took way to long and bistro was even empty. Family area and playground with smokers. drinks from bar way overpriced.

Very disappointed. Ordered a hamburger for lunch and after waiting 40 minutes was told it would be another half an hour. Upon asking for a refund as we did not have time to wait were informed it would not be that long and sure enough buzzer went off pretty much straight away. The hamburger was stone cold and the meat tasted like a thin processed pattie. The chips were a bit colder than luke warm. Very busy hotel with obviously not enough staff and expensive prices for a pub and lousy food. Never again.

Microwaved pasta, lasagna so over microwaved it was rock hard. Out of the 4 different meals on our table ordered, 3 had food that was heated, and not evenly heated at that, in the microwave. Very disappointed.
