I rang up and asked them for a quote to remove an existing dishwasher and replace it with another i had all ready purchased. I had all the required parts and ensured that the new dishwasher would fit into place. He told me that he couldn't quote it and would just see how long it took him. He then sat back and watched his apprentice install it and remove the old one for 25 minutes, then he charged me $250 and was reluctant to write me a receipt.
I attempted to contact this lady this morning. We generally can and will quote on arrival if requested but not over the phone. All dishwashers are not the same.This job we removed the old dishwasher, cleaned the cupboard, took the old dishwasher to the tip, installed the new dishwasher and ran a test that takes 20mins to cycle. So the 25 minutes is not true or fair to us. We always send 2 men to install dishwashers as they are difficult to handle on your own. We have never been reluctant ever to give a reciept, our plumbers reciept book was at home and he had to go and get it while we went to the tip. In spite of that it is upsetting knowing we have not pleased this customer and would be happy to discuss the issue with her.
