Made an appointment for a dog that was paralysed in the hind legs. Sat waiting with the dog deteriorating and becoming lame in its front legs whilst other healthy dogs took appointments. We were finally seen 45 minutes late and told the dog had meningitis and had to go to hospital. He was obviously getting sicker by the minute but the nurse was just wanting to take his temperature which continued to show normal. When we finally saw the Vet he too wanted to take his temperature? Both the nurse and the vet did a tick check. We went to the vet hospital who also thought meningitis, and they wanted $2,300 including tests, to keep the dog overnight. It turned out to be a tick which the green costs vet should have found and so should have the hospital on examining the dog! We are now out of pocket, so much money for a miss diagnosis!
