Had a major house reservation about 20 years ago..Decking timbers all cracked/ needed replacing in 3 years.Granit bench tops in kitchen developed multiple cracks in first 3 months.Any time something boiled over on stove,leaked into cutlery draw,necessitating removal of drawer/cleaning utensils.Would not consider using this practice.
