While they might not have the best burger I've ever eaten, I do like the Local Matters program that supports local charities. Each month sees three charities vie for your bottle tops (given out free with every burger purchase) and patrons select who wins. Chuffed to see Darlinghurst choose SWOP and NSW s ex workers last month!
I love how your purchases here go towards supporting local area Darlinghurst charities and you get to choose who to donate too, so naturally I went for the cause of the rainbow variety. I had the Beef Chilli Addict burger on a low carb bun and Zucchini Chips with hot chilli mayo. Really enjoyed it. The bun has the same thickness of Lebanese flat bread so the meat, roasted peppers, body salad and jalapenos dominate with each bite which I like with fuming kick from the spice! Exactly what I needed to wake me up from a hangover to go back to work!
Excellent place that has been consistently good over the four years I've been eating there. Great place to go if you're in a large group too as there are large wooden tables toward the back of the restaurant.
I literally always get the Garden Goodness - the patty is delicious and of really good quality. They also use tonnes of delicious avocado, which is always a winner in my book. Price is quite reasonable too (around ~$11.50 not including chips). The chips are also amazing!
My only improvement would be for Grill'd to open up a joint in Alexandria/Zetland/Randwick, so that patrons can access their deliciousness with easier parking!
My friends and I revisited this favourite burger joint of ours last weekend and I can truly say that they are still as awesome as usual. The staffs are still as friendly as always, the burgers are still as fresh and delicious as usual, and the chips and its dipping sauce are still as heavenly (although I do take notice that the serving size for the chips is not as big as they used to be).
The restrooms, however, look like they havent been given enough proper care, with graffiti all over the wall which I believe is quite out of place with the rest of the look and feel of the store. Im not sure if this graffiti artwork was of their own making or if they were trying to pass the vandals work as their own.
Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is still good, with different seating areas catering different moods and party sizes.
