Arrived at north lakes looking for inspiration for breakfast. After reading the menus and seeing kids meals for $6.90 decided Groove train it was. Walked in the menus we have read at the table before a rude waitress said are you after a table and we said yep. She then snatched the menus and said I’ll put these back you seat yourselves and I’ll being over other menus. Sat there with my two girls looking at the staff chatting at the bar with no menus and no service so after a few minutes of being totally ignored got up and left with no one even noticing. Given there was only 3 other tables in use it wasn’t because they were so busy but with so much competition and juice costing more then a kids breakfast expected just a little service but will never be back.
I have eaten here three times and each was a huge disappointment. First time a boring bland gnocchi, then a horrible hard dry chicken and avo sandwhich, and today a terrible steak burger with a soggy mess of a bottom bun, gristle-y steak which I asked for well done and received rare, lettuce swimming in grease from the super thin 'steak', and what looked like processed cheese stuck to the bun top. The only good thing this time was the chips and onion rings - NOT worth $26.99 on special!! I've learned from three bad experiences not to waste my time or money here any more.
Really don't like this place. We find prices to be expensive and have never been overly happy with the food or service. There are plenty of other choices in the area, that will get our business.
