This pub was just around the corner from my hotel, so it isn't at all surprising that this pub ended up being the first pub that I visited upon my arrival in Perth. As a pub it wasn't bad, though in my couple of visits the bouncers did seem a little touchy (or at least on the second visit, not so much on the first). There were a reasonable selection of beers available on tap, though nothing hugely fancy. What I did like about the place was the beer garden, which was quite a decent size. While not one of the best, and being reasonably crowded on the Friday night, it still was quite an enjoyable pub.
The Grosvenor Hotel is a traditional restaurant and bar located in East Perth. Extensive drinks menu. Many options of food but I don't recommend to try the pizza menu. Though they have a good variety of flavours the pizza dough always comes badly baked. The service is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. I
The Grosvenor Hotel is located right in the city so the venue mainly attracts tourists especially on the weekends. But the Grosvernor is a huge venue with beautiful and tasteful dcor and very spacious on the inside or you can relax in their leafy beer garden/alfresco area. Extensive drinks menu. Many food choices and there is also bar food available if you are not in the mood for something more substantial. Fish and chips were good.
This pub has good food and ambience. I ordered a traditional bruschetta (or you can have it with sausage) and a Chilli Squid Salad. Both were delivered relatively quickly, presented nicely and both gigantic. The bruschetta was deliciously heaped with salsa, with added capsicum and Fetta. The salad of spinach, rocket, capsicum, fresh Chilli and onion, was generously served with marinated baby octopus, and topped with chorizo. The "Chilli" in the salad was just right - not mouth burning - ideal for a Chilli novice like me. The service staff are a little indifferent - but it's not a real issue, just an observation. I would happily come again - probably will.
