Our son has been at Gumnuts for over a year now. After a bad experience at another centre, Gumnuts was a calm and welcoming environment from the start. Our son was happy to go from the 1st day and still loves it now. The staff are so passionate about what they do, and their values and dedication to the children and their learning is a beautiful thing to be a part of. Not only did they welcome our son with open arms, but our whole family as well. Their communication is fantastic, including the parents in the day to day goings on, but also in the observations and future goals for your child individually. They have never been too busy to give me time for any concerns I've had. We are so thankful that we gave Gumnuts a go and are just sorry that we didn't do it sooner. A hidden gem.
My grandson attends kindergarten at Gumnuts and I am constantly surprised at the amount the information he learns each week. He is always excited to go, he has made friendships and is also learning the art art of getting along with his peers.
I am also impressed with the natural materials in the centre and thri weekly bush kindy excursions.
Some great staff however a couple made me feel less than welcome. Left my son to cry after drop off no cuddles provided. Miss Jazz and Barb are amazing but unfortunately I didn't haver the same experience with other girls in the toddler rom, more interested in chatting than providing a untiring safe environment for my son.
I am surprised to read this. Gumnuts has such a family feels to it, and I am always seeing the children openly embrace their educators when they arrive and leave. Shame you had a negative experience

We thank you for the lovely feedback for some of our staff members (please know this will be passed on) but we were quite sorry to hear that some of the other staff members did not meet your expectations. While we appreciate that you have since moved interstate, we wish that you could have addressed these issues while you were still with us as we would have remedied them immediately and ensured that the highest quality of care was offered to your Son. This is something that our centre certainly prides itself on. We regularly review our daily centre procedures to ensure we are offering the best (and most current) practice and care for all our children, and hold regular training and professional development sessions for our staff to ensure they are all aware of the reviews and centres expectations. Gum nuts on Hardys Rd is truly amazing. All the staff are wonderful my baby has been going there for nearly a year now and could not be happier. Like there caption says, they treat all there children there as if they were there very own. Family owned and operated kindy your child ends up getting the attention they need to discover new and exciting world's of play.
