Gundagai Preschool Kindergarten
To offer the children of Gundagai and surroundings a quality preschool educational program for children aged 3 years to before school age.Gundagai Preschool Kindergarten is a community based not for profit organisation managed by a parent/community committee. The preschool believe it vital to employ qualified educators. Currently the preschool employ two university trained early childhood teachers and three diploma trained educators.
The educational program is child centred, developmentally based and acknowledges the learning and developmental needs of individual children within the needs of the group as a whole. The educators develop play based programs that enable active and exploratory learning opportunities both socially constructed and individually based. The program fosters lifelong skills, and recognises the importance of dispositions towards learning (such as curiosity and persistence when problem solving) and also, the need for young learners to be intrinsically motivated to learn. We aim to work closely with families to form a partnership to ensure we are attuned to childrenâ??s thoughts and feelings to support the development of a strong sense of wellbeing.

The Gundagai community has a welcoming appeal, this is the main reason I chose to locate to the area 18 years ago. My 3 daughters have all attended Gundagai preschool. The staff were warm and friendly, having the best interests of the children as their main priority. My girls have fond memories from Preschool and maintain friendships with their peers to this day. Gundagai is a fantastic community and the Preschool is a wonderful assett to the community.
My three children have attended this fantastic little community preschool. The staff are so warm and welcoming and my children are so happy to get up each preschool morning. They are settled and my eldest son made a fantastic transition to school after going to Gundagai Preschool. Would rec commend this preschool to any family looking for a preschool service.
