Guaranteed good, hearty Italian food at Gusto. My go to dish is always gnocchi with ragu - it's not strictly on the menu but they are always happy to mix and match sauces. Service was attentive and friendly all night. Good selection of drinks. We started with an entrée of homemade sausage - beware this is a generous serve - so tasty though. The duck confit pizza was also excellent.
The worst dining experience I have ever had in my entire life!!! The food was nice but the service was appalling to say the least. Throughout the night the waiters were slow and not in sync with one another. They were rushing to pack our plates away when we still had food on it. I had planned to pay for the entire bill and had left my credit card with one of the waiters earlier to prevent the other party I was dining with from paying for the meal.
When It was time to pay, my friend gave his card. I approached the staff to ask why she allowed him to pay and what had happened with my card. The blonde staff member behind the counter was indifferent and responded with " I don't know anything about that, you didn't give the card to ME so it's not my problem"

My three friends and I went to Gusto for lunch today. Food was amazing. So many good choices. I decided on the large (giant) duck filled agnolotti with pumpkin sauce..delicious. My friends were delighted with the pumpkin risotto, pomodoro gnocci and chicken tenderloin salad - which was huge. Dessert was amazing as well. Semi freddo delicious and Nutella dessert pizza, which was a special, was amazing - and also huge. Could easily split between two people. Table service was good, albeit rather slow, considering how not busy it was. When we came to pay the bill, however, the staff behind the register was appalling. One girl left and paid before us, yet we were told we could not "split the bill", only divide the total amount by 4?!? Kind of splitting the bill anyhow isn't it?? And staff was so rude. Staff also patronised us when we questioned splitting the bill, like it was such an inconvenience to staff. Other than that everything else was great. Im not ...read more
I was a first timer here amongst a bunch friends for dinner and found the experience decent. We had no complaints with the food we all ordered that night and my meal being a salad, I thought would be quite light, but it was huge! Packed full of chicken and flavor, so no complaints there! Meals were priced like other Italian restaurants around the area/city, service was okay.. there was a wait staff on the night that seemed particularly impolite and moody towards our group though.
