Gypsy Road Tapas Bar & Lounge

One of the few places in Point Cook that feels like a proper bar/restaurant and can pull off live music. Food is good, it is great to have a tapas menu so you can duck in for a relaxed drink and nibbles anytime.

All these reviews are too old. We've been going for dinner every Sunday for the past 2 months. The food is great, service is friendly , we have no complaints whatsoever. They also have live entertainment, which is great to listen too.

The worst meal I have ever had in my life. Tried this restaurant twice as they had had a change of management but unfortunately the change in ownership didn't improve the meals at all. It's a shame that restaurants in point cook don't invest in excellent staff, especially this one as it could be fantastic. Would not return again unless I was told that they had replaced the staff and had new management.

I had an amazing experience here with a girlfriend recently and now vow to be back on the next amazing, warm Melbourne afternoon!



We went on a Saturday, got a freshly cleaned table for 2 outside and were both instantly won over when we noticed they had both our favourite wines by the glass. Needless to say many glasses were had and it wasn't too pricey either.



We got 4 things to share. We had the Saganaki Cheese, The Arancini, The Eggplant Chips and the Chicken Teriyaki. All were amazing and we had to stop picking after we were full and were both complaining of full tummies afterwards. The guy serving us was great, kept the wine flowing and kept asking us if everything was ok. Now that's service!



I will definately be taking my partner and maybe family here for something different and I agree with past reveiws, it's just what the area needed!

Worst meal I have had in ages - went there with 3 other adults and 4 kids. The kids meals were totally overpriced and one of the chicken meals was brought out raw - had to wait 15 minutes for them to rectify that. DIdn't even get another piece of chicken - just the same one, cooked some more. Then had to ask for it to not be included in the bill - we had to ask - they never offered not to include it.

Calling themselves a Tapas bar is a joke - nothing on the menu screams Tapas - ordered numerous "share plates" and what a joke - soft shell crab that barely was enough of a mouthful for 1 let alone 4 people, a seafood paella should have been the highlight, but it was nothing more than a bad risotto.

Don't waste your money - you have been warned!
