I highly recommend the team of H&L and Escape homes. I am very happy with the house delivered from plan to build. I would like to convey a heartfelt thanks to Matt for all his help from making changes to the plan to suit my needs and budget. He has always showed up in a very professional yet friendly manner and very patiently answered my queries from the start to handover. Although there was a bit of wait with the land getting registered, Vince and his team picked up the work soon after and have now handed over a beautiful house that I am proud to call my new home. Thank you Matt and Vince!
First I was very impressive with the turn around for floor-plan & contract with the company. However, after we have signed the building contract that where the nightmare begin. Our dreamhome sitting there for many many weeks and month to month with nothing happen. Once I asked for an update they said "We do not need to give you an update" & that where we knew it getting worse. Building contract signed by end of Jun 2018, the process took a lots of time and we have building permit 08/11 (more than 4 months for building permit??? where most of builder can get onsite around 10-12 weeks!!!). Until today, as mid Apr 2019, the plaster not even started yet. Job kept delays, no necessary update & the only thing that you will get on time is the bills!
Very frustrated with H&L now then with their partnership Escape Homes.
For my personal experience, if you are thinking to build quick, efficiency and be respected as clients, go with someone else!

I can appreciate your frustration over the unexpected delays prior to your construction commencement. We did our best to work through these unexpected items as efficiently as we could. The builder next door constructing a large concrete retaining wall onto your land without any consent, right when your construction was starting was very unfortunate - and we liaised with them to remove this as quickly as possible.
Since the slab was able to be poured in February, the progress has been very positive with lock-up completed in early April and plastering now almost complete.
As discussed today, I’m looking forward to personally catching up with you on-site next week along with the Director of Escape Homes so you can see the good progress of your home.

Update 12/08/2019. People can see the reply from the director of the company. Since he replied to my review as it's positive. However, since the date we met 29/04/2019, my house still not finished. We have no idea when the house will have Occupancy Permit also PCI will be organise. So frustrated with both company so far. Almost 15 weeks for completion stage only! Within 15 weeks other builder can get the house done. This is only 1 stage.
Hi Morris, I tried calling you on the 15th & 16th but did not reach you to confirm that your Occupancy Certificate had been approved and received from the Independant Building Surveyor after it was applied for late July. Your PCI and Independant Building Inspection will be done this week and anything needed will be updated as quickly as possible to ensure that the handover is completed at the earliest opportunity.

Peter from H&L Victoria has been a thorough professional and very patient to go through all available home and land packages. There was no pressure to buy and he went through all Pros Vs Cons & helped us select a good lot.
Then comes the even better stuffs. Peter allowed and helped us to customize our build plan as per own wish, no extra cost!! None of the big builders allow you to customize without costing you a bomb. It was by concidence to meet Peter online while searching for a piece of land in Point cook specifically and what followed was a smooth flow of the process of purchasing and bulding the land. This guy is patient and he is good at explaining the technical terms involved so that the client understood what is involved. We lived in NSW and he kept us updated on every step of the way in the drawing, altering and and approving of the plans and also the construction of the building itself. Just before Christmas, the builders handed over the building and we were so excited because of a number of things. The nuilding was neatly done with no bricks weeping and etc. All the additions we asked for during the planning stage were factored in. After searching around for a proper "Turn Key" solution in Melbourne, and getting fustrated with so many builders giving me false promises and followed by poor communication! Long and behold I finally met a builder who cared about what I wanted, and was willing to provide me a design and finish within my set budget! Peter from H&L was a gentlemen, he was willing to meet up for hours discussing finishing/designs/landscaping, and we did not even sign yet! Peter kept advising me that until I was satisfied with the outcome, then he would advice me to proceed. With this kind of service, I managed to get 2 more assosiates to also build as part of a special package. The investmet property was built within the timelines set, and the final product was Awesome! and not a single cent was given extra, as when H&L mean TurnKey, they mean TurnKey! Thank you very much for your kind words. After a long wait with the land, we could finally build your home that we'd been planning for so long. What a great result and spot on with time too. No doubt we'll stay in touch and catch up in 2018.
