I stopped in here for a cocktail after dinner down on the water. This place has an awesome view of the quay and a pretty good drinks. It was very busy when we were there, so if you are after a table I would book, however, you can also grab a standing place by the bar. The costs here are what you expect along the water but is definitely worth a visit. I am keen to head back and grab a table to spend some more time there.
Haciendas is a really cute bar in circular quay. The decor is stunning and it's a great place to grab a pre-show drink. It's a Cuban themed place with fresh plants everywhere paired with brass finishes. I was honestly so taken aback when I walked in that I hadn't heard of its existence before now. They do great cocktails with all the flair and decor. Their food is your standard bar menu with a few interesting additions such as the kibe and the chorizo balls. It was all great, full of flavour and good sized portions of you want a quick nibble withy a cocktail. The only thing that ruined my experience of Haciendas was the music. So they had awesome Cuban music playing at a normal 'I can still chat over this' volume which definitely fit with the whole place and added to the experience. Then, they had another speaker playing deep house at a horrendously loud volume, to the point where the only tables available were the ones around this horrific second speaker. People ...read more
Beautiful bar! Great location and really enjoyable atmostphere. We waited about 20 minutes for a table so we sipped on some cocktails in the mean time. The food was average, the sliders were dry as a bone. With every bite you took, you needed a sip of water. The chips came out cold so we had to send them back to the kitchen. They replaced them with fresh hot chips. I enjoyed the lamb ribs, they were tender and yummy.
