Hanabishi Japanese Restaurant

Along this strip there are quite a number of great restaurants, I was recommended this place from a work colleague who had been a number of times and spoke highly of the restaurant. We were celebrating a special event and thought we would order the Akios special set menu for 2 people which was $68 per person and included Sashimi, Yaki Hassun which was a grilled fish platter, Duck Kuwayaki a Pan fried duck, some Sushi and finished up with Dessert. When I initially read the menu I thought this may be quite small and not filling enough, however we were quite full towards the end, the presentation was divine, the service was great and thoroughly had a fantastic time dining there. A place I would like to return and try out some other food on their menu and would recommend others to try out if you enjoy fine dining Japanese so to say.

great food served up in stylish surrounds but this is typical of how i used to view Japanese dining - tasty, expensive, left yearning for more...and often requiring a quick stop afterwards to fill my tummy without overloading the wallet. at some point in time, perhaps with the influx of good Japanese eateries over the years, this atypical experience had changed...but not with Hanabishi. The food is yum, but expect to pay, portions are small, but service is big albeit on the cooler side!

I gave 3.5 stars rating because the food is pretty nice but the cost is pretty expensive. I like their sushi and the tempura very much. but do prepare to pay more.
