My son who is at UQ took his car to the Manly outlet to get washed. There was bat droppings still on the car after the wash. My son pointed this out to the attendant who said clean it off yourself. I went down the next day and asked for a refund. Not interested. GO JUMP! I rang them at Bowen Hills, they were not interested either! They said it would cost $25 to wash it again.Took car to the Norman Park outlet showed them, instead of saying yeah mate, just run it thru, we are sorry for the inconvenience. They pointed out the bat droppings would not come off, they also wanted $25 to reclean the car, you can imagine the frustration. Rang the area management staff, left message but still waiting. Ended up taking the car to another CAR WASH AT CANNON HILL, not only were they cheaper, but the service was with a smile and great and guess what, the bat droppings cleaned up OK. in my opinion they have not a clue about customer service, it is APPALLING! ...read more
Still waiting for a call from Hoppys Hand Wash Car Wash to offer me a refund
Lake, Manly is a self serve wash unless you want our attendant, during manned hours, to vacuum your vehicle . Can you tell me who you spoke to at Bowen Hills and I will follow that up .?
I have used this carwash only 3 times, the first I paid $500+ to have my 4x4 fully detailed, windows were left with very obvious grime marks, floors not vacuumed and steam-cleaned properly and an obvious no care attitude taken where they used an Armour-all like product to hide their sloppy work. In addition to this they had broken/removed parts of the interior which I have had to get replaced through my car dealer.
I returned to this carwash only due to the convenience of it being just down the road from where I live, the quality of both these washes were surprisingly good compared to my first experience...these good experiences though were tarnished when I found out I paid $45 for a wash they were advertising on-line for $25.
So buyer beware they will try and cut corners not only on the service they provide but will also overcharge you.
Pity we have only just seen your review and issues smeagol, otherwise we could have really sorted things out for you . If you are still using Hoppys because of that convenience you spoke of , let us know how we are doing , via our website feedback which might be mutually effective.
I discovered this car washing service last week. It was Friday and I was keen to get the car cleaned. I didn't have much time and searched the internet for car detailers in the area. I rang a few and they all required an appointment and didn't have any available in the time I had. Then I found the "hand wash cafe" and decided to check it out. What I discovered really impressed me. For $22 (+ $5 for a big car) they gave my car a fantastic wash. This is great when you consider it costs $15 for a wash at the BP automatic car wash at Indooroopilly. Basically you drive in, they take your keys, and you sit and watch through the windows of the cafe as your car is moved around on a conveyerbelt and given a good clean by hand by a number of people. And the coffee was excellent too. My car looked fantastic, and I personally thanked the manager for such a superb job. Thanks guys you are an awesome local business!
