WHAT IS MYOTHERAPY?
Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of
muscular pain and dysfunction.

In addition to massage techniques Myotherapists use a variety of therapies including;
* Dry needling
* Cupping
* Ear candling
* Muscular stretching
* Lymphatic drainage
* Muscle Energy Techniques (MET)
* Pain management
* Corrective exercise prescription

Myotherapists treat a wide range of conditions including:
* Sporting and Occupational injuries
* Headaches/ Migraines
* Overuse syndromes- RSI, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, tennis/golfers elbow
* Acute and chronic back pain
* Shoulder and neck pain
* Knee, leg and foot pain- shin splints, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains
* Stiffness within the body, restricting movement
* Scoliosis
* Pregnancy- fluid retention, back and neck pain, wrist pain

Hands On Myotherapy also offer Remedial Massage Therapy treatments. Our Remedial Massage Therapist, Daleen (Dee) van der Merwe Is qualified and registered with AAMT. Dee has come from a sporting background and previously worked as a Personal Trainer, where she gained her passion for helping people achieve optimum health and wellbeing.
