Hannibals Lebanese Restaurant
More than just great food.Sydney has seen a handful of Lebanese restaurants come and go but it is Hannibals which has stood the test of time. Recently moved to Surry Hills this charming establishment has been pleasing patrons for over thirty years in Bondi.
With its delicious middle eastern fares, romantic exotic atmosphere and friendly service Hannibals plans to dish it up for thirty more. On offer at Hannibals is authentic Lebanese a la carte, or a selection of house banquets to choose from.

Hannibal Lebanese in Surry Hills at the cross section of Elizabeth and Cleveland St. This place serves up quality Lebanese food at a reasonable price and big portions. This place is somewhat an institution in the area. They also have some great value banquet options and meal deals we smashed a vegetarian plate and a mixed grill and certainly didn't leave hungry. A great spot to get a good value Lebanese feed.
I like how there are options of normal seating and cushion seating. We chose normal for practicality
I've been eating Lebanese food since my uni days which is a long, long time ago
I ordered the mixed plate and when it costs 1.5 times more than what I usually pay in the west, I have certain expectations which were not met. The grilled meat didn't have much taste with it. My partners rice dish looked small and had hardly any meat on it,it looked like a child meal. The Hannibal crumble wasn't to my taste. They others said there means we're just alright
The falafel was nice but instead of a ball it's in a weird donut shape
Food took a while to come out also
For me this place is just ok,but pricey to what I usually pay out West, doubt I will be back
Had dinner here on Friday night it was lovely. Its BYO and we ordered the banquet such good value for money it was $35 per head. We ate in the back room where the walls have rugs all over them and you sit on the flood on cushions. Great for a big group and you have your own area.
If you dont want to sit on the floor there is a front to the restaurant with tables and chair. they have aircon on the back room for the summer too.
Worth a visit and I will be back.
