Big place but many people. I decided to give this place a try on a weekday. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and surprising it came out relatively quick. The taste was average just like any other pub with no real stand out characteristic. Some other items on the menu included burgers and steak with chips. The staff were quick and friendly due to the lack of customers but a good experience nonetheless.
Well i have been here a few times now.
The staff i found was great, happy and helpful.
Loved the food i had each time i was here.
I try to order different things so i can see the variety.
Loved the $15 specials that they do through out the weeks and found it to be reasonable too.
The pizza was scrumptious.. i had the ...read more
#reviewtowin Organised for 5 of us friends to meet here for lunch, enticed by the cheap prices and nostalgia as we all used to work together nearby and had a Christmas party here once. Overall it was disappointing, the staff were friendly but I didn't like the 'stand at the bar and order your food system' (which we weren't told about). I ordered the Atlantic Salmon but it came drenched in hollandaise sauce so I sent it back. After a while another meal came out, the salmon was too over-cooked, on top of a yucky tasting potato croquette, along with limp and dry spinach greens. My friends were happy with their meals, the Indian curry, risotto (very tasty) and vegetarian burger. Overall experience ok but I wouldn't return here as there are simply too many great eating places in Melbourne city, without venturing out to the grey Docklands!
A very large restaurant/venue that saw very little customers making the place not at all look appealing. They have a pub system here where you order your food first. It's your standard pub menu with steaks, burgers and parmas etc. I had the chicken parma which came out surprisingly quick. The size was average, as well as the chips and salad. I found the chips a bit too salty, the salad dressing was bland and the chicken parma was only average. Overall, my dining experience was not satisfying as I could of had the same quality and service at a local pub for a better price. If you're in the area then it's worth a visit, otherwise no point coming out here for mediocre food.
Also a bit disappointed that the wifi wasn't working either.
We decided to take advantage of the Monday evening Parmigiana special, during a Docklands trip, in the days leading up to Christmas. I can't say we actually enjoyed the chicken, as we found the dish a little on the chewy side, with overcooked edges that required to be cut off. I personally would have preferred the chicken more tenderised and about half the thickness. On the positive side, the dish was incredibly well priced, a generous serving size, and was accompanied by a very good salad. (Recall wishing I had ordered just the salad, as it was light and tasty.) We enjoyed the variety in parmigiana topping selections - with such choices as Hawaiian, Mexican and Veggie. Meals and drinks were ordered at the bar, with drinks served at the bar, and the meals served to the table. Staff were friendly, although a little slow to serve at the bar. The general ambiance was down to earth, and family friendly. There was a group having a party, and they had arranged lounge ...read more
