Hares & Hyenas

Hares & Hyenas has been going since 1991 in various sites across Melbourne. Its latest and most glamorous incarnation is in Johnston Street Fitzroy, a street fast becoming known for nightlife and good quality food. Renowned as one the world's leading gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer bookshop, Hares & Hyenas recently opened a cafe selling Jasper's coffee and a strong collection of teas, most from the Oriental Tea House range. Add to this a choice selection of tarts and cookies and friendly service and you'll understand my rating above. Hares & Hyenas is open seven days, Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 7pm or later, and on the weekends from before noon to 7pm.
