Oh, another pub that I walked for ages to get to just so that I could go inside and order a beer. Well, I guess it’s a good thing that this is actually a pretty decent pub otherwise it would have been a bit of a waste, but then again I would have never been here – oh forget it. It has a nice outdoor area with some comfortable seats, though it’s a little small – ahh, that’s for the smokers. Still, there’s a decent selection of beers on tap, and the bar tender’s pretty friendly as well, so I guess that’s cool.
Have you noticed that when you're super hungry everything tastes amazing? Well, this could be the case here so consider this review slightly biased but we ordered a chicken burger and two beef burgers and they were all delicious! We coupled this with house wine (the big glass). Good value at $10 for a burger (special night) and $10 for a gigantic glass of wine.
We then headed upstairs for a Paint it Up Class.
Unfortunately, this is the worst pub I have ever been to. As it is walking distance for me, I have given the staff and the food 3 opportunities to change my mind, but it just gets worse.
The last and final time I went there with friends for dinner, we were the only people there and were advised that we needed to order before the kitchen closes, at 9pm. So we placed our order at that point, at 5 mins to 9. We were then advised 20 minutes later that the kitchen was closed! Complained to the management who didn't care, that's why the staff don't give a toss either.
There are so many good pubs in Glebe, Annandale, Camperdown. Go somewhere else, the Harold Park Hotel don't want your business.
