HARP OF ERIN HOTEL
Located in Kew East, the Harp of Erin has been refurbished with a new bar, beer garden and with full TAB facilities. This new complex has been established to cater for all members of the community with areas for the entire family. The new bistro is now open 7 days a week with meals such as pizzas, meat and fish and chips. There is now a drive through bottle shop confirming something for everyone.

Well, I’m going to have to say that this pub was okay, but in a way it is just your typical local pub. I was going to completely write it off, until I discovered that one of the bars did serve craft beer, and if I had known that sooner I probably would have had a better time here. While this is an outdoor are, that is basically for the smokers, and the drinkers, so no food outside. As a pub it was okay, and since it does have a decent craft beer on tap, I would consider going back if I was in the area, but it really isn’t on the top of my list.
Went to the harp with my youngest daughter for a nice meal, or so I thought. Her half serve Parma was great, my rissotto on the other hand was awful. I eat a lot of rissotto so I think I can offer a fair review of this dish. i was supposed to get a rissotto of field mushrooms with a sage and garlic sauce The arborio rice was plain boiled in water, no stock to be seen anywhere and what the chef has done is re hydrated the dried mushrooms in boiling water and then Poured this poor excuse for a sauce over the top. No sage or garlic flavor and heaven forbid he should use some seasoning. I could only stomach a small amount of this and left it. I really wanted to confront the chef with this and ask him if he had tasted it ( obviously not or he would not have served it up). But as I had my you best daughter with me and.
