Harvey Norman Morayfield

Totally disheartened with the service, or lack thereof, today from two different staff in the furniture section.
When I arrived, staff were setting up the outside furniture display, however, even though it was right on opening time, and it was quite cold and windy outside, I was told I wasn't allowed in the store, and the doors were locked. I was let in a few minutes later though, not a big deal.
When I did walk in, 2 staff were sat at different desks. A man was serving the other customer who came in the same time as I did, and a woman was sat at another desk. I asked the woman re a particular item, only to be told that she only dealt with the bedding furniture, and I'd have to wait for the man who looked after lounge furniture. Had such a great experience here today. Walked in to a friendly smile and asked if I needed any assistance. I was looked after by George who helped me go through laptops as I am shopping around at the moment. I told him my budget and uses for my laptop and he guided me through the stores selection. I found him to be very knowledgeable about the products and extremely helpful. He explained without being condescending the differences that come with the prices. I found him very lovely to talk to and would love to share my great experience here because of him. 10/10 George!!

Absolutely zero customer service!! I bought a camera from the Morayfield store and it took 3 weeks for them to get stock from another store that was in another Brisbane store. After waiting the 3 weeks I went in an found out that it was already there for 3 dasy and no one bothered to call.

If you have a warranty issues don't worry, they will never call you either even after promising to do so the next day. 3 weeks again of waiting, when they said it would be a maximum of 2 weeks, and still no work.
I would say their customer service is appauling however they do not even give any customer service to call appauling.

Don't bother with Extended Warranty or 'Product Care Plan' Not worth the paper its printed on. Spent $1000's at Harvey Norman Morayfield in the last 5 years, no more. Was upsold the 'Product Care Plan' on several items, but what the sales person didn't tell me is that while my receipt said I paid one price, their system says another- One of the items was a Microwave I paid $225 for, told the sales person that I could get it for less at another shop, they said they could throw in the 5 yr extended warranty, which sealed the deal- but when the microwave stopped working the extended warranty on their system was priced at $50, leaving me with a $175 refund on a $225 microwave that was 19 months old. Same on a dryer. Not happy Harvey Norman, and returns person was just plain rude.

Debbie was a huge help to us - we are trying to help a sick friend purchase a suitable chair and Debbie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and really gave us confidence in dealing with Harvey Norman. Our friend ended up getting her chair somewhere else - but I really commend Harvey Norman, and Debbie specifically, for your great service and assistance. We'll definitely be back for our next purchase!
