Hash Specialty Coffee & Roasters

This is another one of the many restaurants that seem to be crowded along Hardware Lane. I thought it was pretty good, but it seems as if everybody else has the same opinion because it doesn’t take long for the morning workforce to suddenly swarm in here making it really difficult to find a seat, or even putting you onto a wait list. However, they do serve a pretty decent breakfast – I had the fruit salad – and it is certainly a place I’d have no objections coming back to, though as I mentioned, you do need to get here early.

Legitimately the best lunch of my life. I came here just for the instagram gimmick of the fairy floss hot chocolate - I returned the next day because the lunch my boyfriend ordered was so incredible I had to have one all to myself. Super friendly staff (that remembered us from the previous day) and a lovely open and refreshing cafe. If I lived locally I would be coming here everyday.

great little melbournian cafe in the heart of hipster central! recommend getting a tea, just so you get the little timer that updates you as to where your brew is at. Serving size is massive, so no complaints on taste or price.

Cool hot chocolate here, but the food is overhyped. It's average, nothing special - so I didn't feel like I could justify the bill at the end.

Hearing so many good things about this place, it was on the top of my to-try places on my visit to Melbourne.

However with the hype of it’s cool foamy hot chocolate thing (which is actually fairy floss) the food and service of this place is actually pretty average and slightly disappointing considering the crowds always lined up!

I had the avo with eggs and my sister tried the zucchini fitters which were tasty, but mushy and slightly soggy for fritters.

Great for a try and an Instagram photo opportunity, but you can honesty get some better food in other places for half the price.
