I must say I love going to the drive in however am absolutely appalled at the customer service. On driving up to the window and asking for one movie $30. I hand over $20 note $5 note and 2x $2 coins and 5x 20cent pieces and the management working on the window laughs at the change I hand and tries to refuse my change, that it takes to long to count and they had too many people to get in the gate ( there was no line up). But in saying this they spent more time arguing with me than what it would have taken to count the small amount of change. I am truly offended and appalled at the level of rudeness and lack of customer service!!!
This was my first drive in experience in Australia and I have to say they exceeded all expectations. Located about 45 minutes from Newcastle- this drive in is worth the drive. The movies that were showing were current, we watched Tron Legacy and Narnia Part 3. The screening was as clear and audible and the hospitality of the staff was amazing, all the ingredients made for a perfect, nostalgic night out with that special someone or with the family. The cost to watch a movie is reasonable $25 per car for a movie or $40 per car for 2 movies - worth it whether you go as a couple and cheap as chips if you fill up your van or 4x 4 with a buncha mates. My drive in experience at Heddon Greta exceeded all my expectations and I highly recommend that you patron this venue - your kids will love it - AND so will you! Slow clap for this fantastic venue!
