The rudest customer service and they over inflate their prices.
My daughter was barely allowed to try on a frame without giving her prescription. We wanted to take a photo to show her dad for his opinion and we werent allowed. When I found two other Melbourne retailers stocking the same frame I realised that Harry Held was way over inflating their prices. Their two competitors were charging $169 and Harry Held was chargin $300 for the exact same frame. Disgusting all round!!

The worst ever customer service EVER received in my life. Reason for coming here with my wife was to get a pair of Zeiss lens for a spare specs. Figured to also maybe get a frame together if the price is right. Things took a turn from bad to worse when I've asked for a package deal for a Gucci frame and Zeiss lens. As the price offered for the frame wasn't right, I've asked to think about it and confirm another day. Told them I may just have the lens put on to an old frame instead. The team then started pressuring me to proceed with paying even though I did not bring my old frame. This older lady (presumably the boss) then started accusing me of shopping around for prices and said she had offered the best price. Then proceeded to ask my profession (told her I'm a consultant) and insulted me saying my current specs would never give my clients a good impression. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I came in to look for some new frames, dealing with a newly diagnosed eye condition. I was immediately accosted by a staff who asked "what I wanted". When I explained I simply wanted to browse for some new frames, the staff looked me up and down and said that they would "have to follow me whilst I did so" clearly insinuating that I was perhaps not trustworthy. When I explained that I wished to look without someone looking over me, the staff continued to follow me around so close behind me as to almost be touching me, making rude gestures. I went over the road and bought a $600 pair from their competitor.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never had such a horrible retail experience.
The people that work here are insulting, rude, pushy and patronising. They refused to let me try on glasses and insinuated I couldn't afford the "new seasons".
I went in a second time with my mother and suddenly I was booked in for and eye check later that day. After the appointment I said I wasnt looking to buy glasses straight away so I asked for my prescription and said I'll come back later. They refused to give me my prescription but eventually agreed to post the information to me.
They then insisted to speak to my mother (even though I'm 24) to try and convince her to buy me glasses on the spot.
I politely refused and left. I then walked across the road and rebooked an eye check with another. They were so lovely and helpful.
I wouldnt shop at Harry Held if my life depended on it. So bad I was totally in shock. I dont know how they keep customers.

Rude. A staff told the other staff member that was helping me to leave me and help some elderly lady. So they lost for $9000 sale. I have never been treated so rudely before by a business that i have been dealing with for over 25 years. I can' not impress upon other customers how rude these people are..
