I am so happy my husband talked me into doing the scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef with a fly back to Daydream Island. (Thanks to Dean for convincing us with such an amazing price). I thought the reef view was beautiful from the boat and snorkelling but honestly nothing does the Reef justice like flying over it. I was lucky enough to coax Dean into getting the pilot to fly over Heart Reef (as we were honeymooners) and it is simply just amazing. Our pilot was fantastic pointing out the names of all the islands we flew over and particularly Whitehaven Beach and Hook Island. The flight in total took about 35 mins to get back to Daydream Island and we felt like celebrities flying in on the special Helipad - while everyone boarding the ferry looked on in awe :) - Thank you Dean and our wonderful pilot from Heli Reef Whitsunday for an amazing flight and the long lasting memories.
